Butterflies
White Peacock Butterfly.
Butterflies, like many other living creatures, have individual personalities and the capacity to form connections. Their wings are comprised of thin layers of proteins—chitin—interspersed with a network of veins, all covered in thousands of tiny scales. Each wing houses a heart that beats at a rate of a few dozen times per minute, aiding in blood circulation and temperature control. The wings do more than simply provide beautiful camouflage; they're necessary for their survival.
Never handle or touch a butterfly by their wings. Even if it doesn’t immediately harm them, it would still cause portions of their scales to fall off, which would shorten their life.
